Graffiti roots in Valencia

A UPV technical study traces Duke103’s spray practice to the early 1990s and catalogues work across Valencia and its metropolitan area. That documented trajectory places the work within the city’s graffiti lineage, before its later expansion into exhibitions and mural projects.

A cast shaped by comics and animation

Alongside lettering, Duke103 develops animals and invented figures with a comic or animated charge. In an interview, the artist describes turning street furniture into animals and characters while also using the street to carry social messages.

Beyond a single wall

Participation in projects such as Valencia en Papel shows how the practice also moves into works on paper and exhibition settings. Those records document continuity without implying that any older street piece remains visible.
