How we work

Editorial policy

Credibility comes from traceable sources, visible criteria and a willingness to mark uncertainty—not from pretending the street stays still.

Editorial principles

01

A thesis, not a certification

‘Europe’s street art capital’ is an argued editorial proposition. It is never presented as an official award or objective league table.

02

Present tense, dated evidence

Current-location claims require a recent check. Archival material is labelled and does not promise that an individual work survives.

03

Selection without ranking

Artist profiles are based on relevance, documentation and reader value. Inclusion does not mean ‘best’; absence does not mean unimportant.

04 / Photography

Image rights and context

Published photographs identify the available creator, work, place, date when known, source and reuse conditions. Openly licensed images state their licence; selected Instagram posts are embedded from the official account and retain a direct link to the original. Unverified images remain unpublished.

Corrections and updates

Corrections are assessed against sources and current observations. A publication date records the first release; an update date changes only after a meaningful revision. When a work disappears, the page can retain its historical record while making its current status clear.

Commercial and personal interests

Relevant relationships are disclosed where they affect coverage or links. Artist websites and shops are external destinations; this publication does not list live prices, claim sales or promise fulfilment on their behalf.

Instagram selections and public counts

An embedded Instagram post remains hosted by Instagram and attributed to the official account; it is not presented as an openly licensed archive copy. If a post is removed, made private or no longer permits embedding, its source link remains part of the record and the item is replaced or returned to an editorial placeholder during review.

Like counts are recorded only when publicly visible and always with a check date. They are a point-in-time selection signal, not a ranking of artists or a permanent claim about the account’s most popular work.
