How to recognise the work

Rabbit characters with something to say

Recurring rabbit figures carry an expressive mix of sweetness, acidity and social commentary across murals and participatory projects.

A recurring cast of rabbits

Barbiturikills describes her rabbits as characters with joyful, acidic, funny and mildly defiant stories, held together by the motto “revolution, love and humour”.

Art in public and shared space

Large formats and interventions in public space were longstanding interests before she began painting in the street with spray in 2010; workshops and participatory murals remain part of that practice.

A Valencia and XLF connection

Born and trained in Valencia, Sebastián links her move into street painting to sharing a studio with members of XLF, placing the practice within a wider local network rather than an isolated signature.
